In this context, the institute’s facilities have been upgraded to make the teaching process more dynamic. Classrooms now include smart TVs and internet access. To facilitate this change, we have equipped our teachers with laptops for lesson preparation and delivery, and third-semester students have received similar equipment. This transition aims to create more engaging and digital learning environments, moving away from traditional blackboards, markers, and erasers.
The technological advancements at IUTA JHS also involve the implementation of a comprehensive Study Control package. This integrated system manages academic administration processes, including admissions, retention, and graduation, and tracks grades and attendance for both students and faculty. The equipment has already been purchased and will be operational soon, enabling us to evaluate its effectiveness before the start of the first semester of 2024.
Additionally, the technology upgrade includes the installation of a more robust internet service, which will support our shift toward distance education. This enhancement will allow us to host masterclasses with experts on various topics, offering continuous updates for our teachers and students without requiring their physical presence, thus reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Starting in the first quarter of 2024, internet usage will be segmented to balance academic and recreational needs. Designated times and free Wi-Fi zones will be available for students, teachers, and staff.
Lastly, we are 70% ready for our III Expo Feria, an event showcasing our students’ achievements in their careers. This year, the event will be extended to four days, from February 20 to 23, to give Group JHS executives, special guests, family members, and the community a chance to see our students’ work.
We remain committed to advancing our students’ professional development.
